We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of relevant experience in the building material manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of effectively managing procurement processes and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:



Procurement Strategy Development:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives and budgetary constraints.

Supplier Management:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers capable of providing high-quality materials at competitive prices. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.

Purchase Planning:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess material requirements and develop purchase plans to ensure timely availability of materials while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs.

Cost Optimization:

Continuously evaluate procurement processes and identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising on quality or service levels.

Vendor Performance Monitoring:

Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and pricing. Take proactive measures to address any issues and drive performance improvements.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory management processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence risks.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high performance and professional development.

Market Research:

Stay informed about market trends, pricing dynamics, and new product developments in the building material manufacturing industry. Use this information to make informed procurement decisions and identify potential opportunities or risks.

Requirements:



6-8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the building material manufacturing industry. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for purchase planning, supplier management, and performance tracking. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Strong understanding of procurement best practices, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
