Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful

Purchase Officer

with strong expertise in China purchase management and supply chain operations for a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in vendor development, negotiations, import documentation, and ensuring timely procurement of materials from Chinese suppliers to meet production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the entire procurement cycle for goods sourced from China, including vendor identification, negotiations, order placement, and shipment follow-up. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Chinese suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely deliveries. Coordinate with the supply chain, production, and quality teams to forecast material requirements and avoid production delays. Handle import-related documentation, customs clearance processes, and compliance with international trade regulations. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to achieve cost savings. Evaluate supplier quotations and finalize purchase orders as per company policies. Track shipments and resolve any logistical or supply chain issues promptly. Maintain accurate procurement records and generate purchase reports for management review.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. 4-5 years of experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing company, with at least 2 years handling China purchase operations.

Preferred Skills required

Strong knowledge of international procurement processes, incoterms, and import documentation. Excellent negotiation and communication skills (Mandarin knowledge will be an advantage). Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience in supplier audits and quality assessment. Familiarity with freight forwarding, shipping terms, and customs regulations.
