Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies in line with company goals.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/vendors to ensure quality materials, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying and onboarding new vendors.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Prepare and manage the procurement budget.
Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
Track and analyze key procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, delivery timelines).
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure procurement practices comply with company policies, statutory laws, and industry regulations.
Maintain proper documentation of purchase orders, contracts, vendor agreements, and invoices.
Coordinate with the finance team for vendor payments and reconciliations.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination
Work closely with the stores/warehouse team to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory.
Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Forecast demand for products and services to align purchases with production/operational needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams (production, operations, admin, and finance) to understand material requirements.
Provide inputs to management for planning and decision-making.
Support audits and provide reports on procurement activities when required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience (1-2 years) as a Purchase Manager, Procurement Head, or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and procurement best practices.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
