Job requirements

. Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management

Supplier Selection:

Research, evaluate, and select reliable vendors for electronic components and raw materials.

Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective deals.

Supplier Relationships:

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure stability in the supply chain.

Performance Evaluation:

Monitor vendor performance, including quality, reliability, and lead times.

2. Procurement and Logistics

Order Processing:

Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery.

Inventory Control:

Monitor stock levels of components and raw materials to ensure they meet production requirements without resulting in overstocking.

Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of goods.

Import/Export Compliance:

Manage necessary documentation for the import of electronic components, including customs clearance.

3. Quality Control and Compliance

Quality Verification:

Ensure all received materials meet the strict quality standards and specifications required for electronics manufacturing.

Defective Material Management:

Handle returns, replacements, and warranty claims for faulty or inconsistent items.

Compliance:

Adhere to internal procurement policies, as well as industry standards and legal regulations.

4. Market Analysis and Cost Control

Cost Analysis:

Analyze purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost savings and reduction, such as bulk buying.

Market Trends:

Stay updated on industry trends, such as semiconductor shortages or price fluctuations, to inform purchasing strategies.

Budgeting:

Assist in setting and adhering to annual purchasing budgets.

5. Technical Coordination

Engineering Liaison:

Coordinate with engineering and production departments to understand technical specifications for new products or design changes.

Material Resource Planning (MRP):

Use MRP systems to plan, schedule, and execute procurement based on production schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Knowledge of electronic components and sourcing strategies.
