Job Description

We are seeking a Purchase Manager to lead procurement activities, vendor management, and cost optimization for mechanical and electrical components used in manufacturing and transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers for conductors, insulators, cables, steel/aluminum hardware & mechanical items. Execute end-to-end procurement cycle--requisitions, negotiations, orders, delivery follow-up & payment coordination. Negotiate pricing & contracts, ensuring quality, delivery reliability & cost savings. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand & support continuous production. Maintain procurement documentation, supplier performance records & MIS reports. Ensure compliance with GST, tax rules & relevant procurement regulations. Coordinate with engineering, production & quality teams to meet project requirements. Prepare cost analysis, market trend reports & manage procurement budgets.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate / Diploma / B.Tech Mechanical preferred. Strong vendor management & negotiation skills. Ability to read technical drawings & basic geometrical calculations. Understanding of material properties (steel/aluminum) & tax/GST compliance. Proficiency in Excel & inventory/ERP systems. Strong analytical, communication & documentation skills.
