We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager for a manufacturing company to handle procurement of raw materials, machinery, consumables, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with production requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, tools, spare parts, and other items.
Maintain appropriate stock levels to avoid production delays.
Review purchase orders, contracts, and pricing agreements.
Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, and Finance departments.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain procurement records, purchase data, and vendor lists.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Handle import materials (if applicable) and logistics follow-ups.
Resolve supply issues, delays, and non-compliance problems.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procurement guidelines.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of procurement processes in the manufacturing industry.
Excellent negotiation and vendor-management skills.
Understanding of raw materials, industrial components, and supply chain management.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/Tally/SAP systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
Graduation or B-Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial or related field.
4-8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing purchasing.
