Uflex is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager to oversee procurement and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for material planning, vendor management, tendering, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. A thorough understanding of MEP systems and processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Manage end-to-end procurement operations, including material planning, order placement, and supplier coordination.
Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.
Ensure timely availability of materials and equipment for ongoing projects.
Handle inventory control and optimize stock levels.
Vendor Development & Evaluation
Research, identify, and evaluate new vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.
Compare vendors based on pricing, services, and reliability.
Build long-term relationships with key suppliers.
MEP and Technical Oversight
Supervise and coordinate MEP-related procurement, installations, and maintenance.
Ensure materials and equipment comply with technical specifications and standards.
Collaborate with project and maintenance teams for technical clarifications.
Tendering & Documentation
Review tender documents, scope of work, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
Prepare and float tenders to suitable vendors/subcontractors.
Evaluate tender bids and prepare comparison reports for finalization.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations.
Cost Optimization & Compliance
Work closely with finance and project teams for budgeting and cost control.
Ensure all procurement activities are in line with legal and internal guidelines.
Maintain thorough documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and equipment
Expertise in procurement, vendor management, and material planning
Experience in tender management and contract review
Analytical skills to evaluate pricing and negotiate effectively
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Background
Prior experience in a manufacturing with MEP responsibilities
Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory controls
Familiarity with procurement regulations and contract law
