We are seeking an experienced

Purchase / Procurement professional

with a strong background in the

FMCG sector

, preferably with hands-on experience working in large retail and wholesale environments such as

Walmart, Metro, and BigBasket

. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end procurement functions, drive strategic sourcing initiatives, and ensure cost-effective and timely supply of FMCG products to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the complete procurement cycle -- sourcing, negotiation, purchase order management, and supplier performance tracking for FMCG categories. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, leveraging past experience at Walmart/Metro/Big Basket to optimize terms, pricing, quality, and delivery timelines. Analyze demand trends, forecast requirements, and collaborate with planning, sales, and logistics teams to ensure continuous product availability and optimal inventory levels. Implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements. Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and long-term agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and ethical practices. Prepare and present procurement reports, supplier scorecards, and spend analytics to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Master's in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. 8+ years in FMCG procurement, with experience in major retail/wholesale FMCG operations. Strong negotiation, analytical, ERP/SAP skills, and supplier management expertise.
