Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Officer for our motor manufacturing unit. The role involves handling procurement of raw materials, components, electrical parts, and other production-related items. The ideal candidate will ensure timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure raw materials such as copper wires, laminations, bearings, stampings, electrical components, etc., specific to motor manufacturing. Float enquiries, compare quotations, and negotiate with vendors for the best price, quality, and delivery. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) in ERP system and follow up for on-time delivery. Liaise with production, quality, and stores departments to understand material requirements and delivery timelines. Monitor supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor database. Resolve issues related to delivery delays, material rejections, or non-conformities. Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and quality standards. Track market trends in motor manufacturing components for cost optimization. Maintain up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels. Coordinate with logistics for inbound material clearance and transportation.
