PURCHASE MANAGER

Leading the entire procurement team, focusing sheet metal and Rail Coach fabrication materials.

Manage all purchase activities for raw materials, components, consumables, and services.

Lead sourcing and purchasing for Rail Coach sheet metal components, Interior components, consumables, and indirect materials.

Vendor Management: Identifying new vendors for Rail Coach interior materials, develop, manage, and negotiate long-term contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.

Monitor inventory levels to optimize costs and supply chain efficiency.

Coordination with Design, Production, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams to define material requirements and ensure specifications and delivery timelines are met.

Confirm that all received materials strictly match the specifications provided in the purchase order.

Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.

Prepare and present Monthly purchase MIS reports to management

Good understanding of logistics, taxation, and documentation.

Strong analytical and cost-control abilities.

Skills

Experience10-20 years in purchase/procurement within sheet metal or Rail Coach fabrication.

Education : Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.

Core Skills : Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills. Technical

IT Proficiency : proficient in MS Word and MS Excel (Preferred).

Languages: Tamil, English and Hindi.
