We're expanding our procurement team and seeking a dynamic Deputy Manager - Purchase to drive vendor excellence, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead procurement activities for sheet metal components, consumables, and indirect materials Develop and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely deliveries Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to align purchase schedules Monitor market trends, pricing, and inventory levels to optimize cost and supply Ensure compliance with company policies, audits, and documentation standards Support ERP-based purchase workflows and continuous process improvement

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field (MBA preferred) 5-8 years of experience in purchase/procurement within sheet metal or automotive manufacturing Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems Knowledge of GST, taxation, and commercial terms Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
