Job Description

Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement activities of both a healthcare industry as well as Solar Company. This role requires efficient sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management to ensure timely supply of medical, pharmaceutical, and solar energy-related equipment. The manager will collaborate with various departments to identify needs and develop strategies for cost-effective purchasing while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, hospital equipment, and solar-related materials. Collaborate with department heads to understand material requirements and forecast demand.

Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers for both hospital and solar operations. Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure the best value while maintaining quality standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards for medical and solar products.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels of medical supplies, equipment, and solar components. Establish reorder levels and minimize lead times to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Cost Control:

Track and analyze purchasing budgets to control costs and optimize expenditures. Continuously evaluate market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and ensure cost-efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure compliance with hospital and solar industry standards, including medical regulations, environmental guidelines, and sustainable purchasing practices. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and transactions for audits and financial reporting.

Risk Management:

Identify risks related to supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, or vendor reliability and develop mitigation plans.

Collaboration & Communication:

Coordinate with finance, legal, and operations teams to align purchasing activities with overall business goals. Report to senior management on purchasing performance, cost savings, and vendor assessments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the healthcare or solar energy sectors. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills. Knowledge of industry regulations, both in the medical and solar energy sectors. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. Familiarity with sustainable and ethical purchasing practices.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in both the hospital environment and the solar energy sector, requiring an understanding of diverse procurement needs. Regular coordination with healthcare professionals, engineers, and suppliers is key to success in this role.
