Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers for construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, electrical items) and services.
Negotiation and Cost Control:
Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Analyze project budgets and expenses to implement cost-saving measures.
Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors. Evaluate vendors based on quality, reliability, and price.
Inventory and Logistics:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to forecast and manage supply needs. Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all procured materials and services meet required quality standards and project specifications. Address and resolve quality-related issues.
Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare reports on procurement activities, spending, and budget variances. Maintain accurate records of all purchases, invoices, and purchase orders. Ensure all activities comply with company policies and external regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Work with project managers, finance, and other internal teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and goals.
