Job Summary:
The Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services required for the HVAC&R related manufacturing operations. The role involves maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of quality goods, and managing procurement budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Sourcing and Selection:
? Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
? Evaluate supplier capabilities, including financial stability, production capacity, and quality control measures.
? Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and delivery schedules.
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Purchasing Management:
? Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
? Track orders and manage deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
? Address any delays or disruptions in the supply chain.
Inventory Management:
? Maintain optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing operations.
? Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
Cost Control:
? Manage procurement budgets and control costs to achieve cost savings.
? Analyze spending patterns and identify areas for cost reduction.
Quality Assurance:
? Ensure that purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications
? Conduct quality checks and inspections of received goods.
Market Research:
? Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
? Identify innovative and cost-effective solutions for procurement
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
? Proven experience as a Purchase or in a similar role.
? Strong negotiation and communication skills.
? Strong Computer knowledge with MS Office skills.
? Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
? Attention to detail and organizational skills.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
