Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchase Manager to handle procurement of raw materials, components, and services for our plastic processing machinery division. The candidate must be strong in negotiation, vendor management, and sourcing new suppliers to ensure best quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end procurement of mechanical, electrical, and fabrication-related items. Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to expand sourcing options. Negotiate prices, terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement. Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and ensure timely supplies. Coordinate with the Material Management and Production teams to understand material requirements and ensure uninterrupted flow of materials. Prepare purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve supply issues. Conduct periodic vendor evaluations based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company purchase policies. Track market trends, raw material prices, and cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with accounts for vendor payments and reconciliation.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. 3-6 years' experience in purchase/procurement in a manufacturing or machinery industry. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Knowledge of SAP (MM module) preferred but not mandatory.
