Job Responsibilities

Plan and review stock purchases by monitoring market trends, current inventory levels, manufacturing lead times, potential price fluctuations, anticipated customer orders, and supplier conditions. Manage local and international procurement activities, including handling purchase enquiries, preparing comparative cost statements, and issuing purchase orders. Prioritize and manage procurement requirements for multiple ongoing projects to ensure timely availability of materials. Coordinate daily with production, planning, engineering, and finance teams for accurate forecasting and procurement planning. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with suppliers to optimize cost and cash flow. Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers and vendors. Oversee inventory, stock control, and material management to minimize shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence. Coordinate import activities, including customs documentation, clearing agents, logistics, and statutory compliance. Ensure timely delivery, dispatch, and tracking of all purchased materials. Monitor procurement costs and budgets, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and ensure effective budget control. Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to improve supply reliability and cost efficiency. Ensure procurement of materials related to

sheet metal, fabrication materials, electrical components, pneumatic systems, hardware, and consumables

as per quality and technical requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

5-8 years of relevant experience

, preferably in the

Powder Coating or Manufacturing Industry

. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control. Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong awareness of vendors, suppliers, and key players in the industry.
