Role Overview

The

Purchase Manager

is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement process for all raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services required by Octaga's distillery, bottling, and allied operations. This role ensures cost-effective sourcing, strong supplier relationships, inventory management, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards critical to beverage manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Supplier Management

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with company goals (quality, cost, delivery). Expertia Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers of raw materials (e.g., grains, spirits base), packaging materials (bottles, caps, labels), consumables, MRO supplies, and services. TimesPro Lead contract negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules. Inventory & Cost Management

Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Expertia Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to forecast procurement needs and schedule deliveries. Expertia Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities while ensuring quality and reliability. Compliance & Record Keeping

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal policies and relevant regulations. Expertia Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, supplier data, and procurement metrics. Expertia Support audits and documentation related to procurement operations.

Team Leadership & Coordination

Lead, mentor, and evaluate procurement team members or buyers (if applicable). 4 Corner Resources Collaborate with cross-functional functions--operations, finance, quality assurance, warehouse, and logistics--to align procurement activities with operational needs.
