Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with vendors to optimize procurement cost.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and periodically evaluate supplier performance.
Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services as per business needs.
2. Inventory & Material Management
Monitor stock levels to ensure uninterrupted supply and avoid excess inventory.
Collaborate with production, operations, and finance teams to forecast material requirements.
Implement inventory control measures, including stock audits and reconciliation.
Maintain proper documentation for procurement, receipts, and stock movements.
3. Cost & Process Management
Analyse purchase data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Prepare periodic reports on purchase activities, expenditure, vendor performance, and savings achieved.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain processes.
4. Coordination & Leadership
Coordinate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and timelines.
Lead and manage a team of procurement/executive staff (if applicable).
Resolve supplier disputes, delays, and quality issues efficiently.
Stay updated with market trends, new suppliers, and innovations in sourcing.
