Source and procure raw materials, spare parts, packaging materials, and other components required for production.
Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Raise Purchase Orders (POs) based on production planning and inventory requirements.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, delivery, and responsiveness.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays or defects.
Inventory Coordination:
Work closely with the inventory and production teams to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Track and monitor open POs and ensure deliveries match the requirement.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, quotations, invoices, and contracts.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze market trends and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, Accounts, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless procurement and operations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
Understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
Familiarity with ERP systems
Attention to detail and good analytical skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
