Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that our inventory levels meet the demands of our manufacturing operations. This position requires a strong background in supply chain management, negotiation skills, and proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce costs. Manage the sourcing of materials and supplies, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules. Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with contracts. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels using MRP and ERP systems. Coordinate logistics for the timely delivery of goods to support production schedules. Lead vendor management efforts to build strong relationships with key suppliers.

Requirements

Proven experience in procurement management, supply chain management, or a related field. Age Criteria: Below 40 years. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Experience in sourcing materials for manufacturing operations is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. Familiarity with logistics processes related to procurement and supply chain operations. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
