Purchase Manager job description

Purchase Manager is responsible for the movement of goods, from manufacturers and suppliers to the customer. They oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product.

Responsibilities include:

Researching potential vendors

Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers

Negotiating contract terms of agreement and pricing

Track orders and ensure timely delivery

Review quality of purchased products

Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses

Monitor stock levels and place orders as required

Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends

working with procurement managers and buyers to source the right products

controlling manufacturing and delivery processes

Planning and implementing logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met

Overseeing product storage, handling and distribution

Using computer software to track goods from origin to delivery

Working on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance

Managing and Motivating the Team of Purchase Department

Improving the overall Purchase performance and look for any possible

Innovations to the process

Implementing new technologies and staying alert to new trends in the sector

Need to Visit factory on monthly basis for smooth functioning of process

Training to be given in Department as well as at factory level as and when required

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Ability to gather and Analyse data and to work with figures

Qualification- Diploma/Degree-Any Engineering
