Key Responsibilities

Manage

end-to-end procurement and purchase activities

for mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components. Source and evaluate vendors (domestic & international) with a focus on

Defence/Aerospace quality standards

. Handle

imports, exports, customs clearance, and logistics

processes. Prepare and review

RFQs, purchase orders, contracts, and agreements

. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure

cost, quality, and timely delivery

. Ensure compliance with

Defence procurement standards, offset obligations, and regulations

. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to align procurement with project needs. Maintain strong vendor relationships and conduct supplier evaluations. Track inventory requirements and coordinate with stores for timely replenishment. Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvements in procurement.

Candidate Requirements

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in

Mechanical Engineering

(mandatory).

Experience:

4-6 years

of procurement/purchase experience in

Defence, Aerospace, or Electronics manufacturing industry

. Strong knowledge of

imports, exports, logistics, and vendor management

. Hands-on experience in

global sourcing

and

supplier negotiations

. Familiarity with

Defence PSUs (BEL, HAL, DRDO vendors, OEM suppliers)

is an advantage. Strong communication, analytical, and

team-handling exposure

preferred. ERP systems / SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
