Purchase Manager - Construction
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage procurement of construction materials, machinery, and services
Identify and evaluate vendors/suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores for material requirements
Ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites
Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory
Verify invoices and coordinate with Accounts for timely payments
Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards
Maintain vendor records, purchase reports, and MIS
Handle rate analysis and cost comparison statements
Ensure compliance with company policies and project budgets
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
6-10 years of experience in construction purchasing (preferred)
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of construction materials and market rates
Good coordination and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and purchase software
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
