The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for Six Guards Safety Pvt. Ltd. This role includes vendor management, negotiation, cost control, inventory monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods that support company operations--especially in security, safety systems, and related services.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
Plan, coordinate, and execute the purchasing of materials, safety equipment, uniforms, tools, and other operational supplies.
Identify reliable suppliers and maintain a strong vendor network.
Request quotes, compare prices, and negotiate contracts to secure optimal pricing and quality.
Raise and track Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service.
Maintain professional relationships with vendors and resolve supply-related issues.
Conduct periodic supplier assessment and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Inventory & Material Control
Work closely with the store/warehouse team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Monitor stock levels, forecast requirements, and prevent shortages or over-stocking.
Ensure proper documentation and tracking of materials.
Cost Management & Compliance
Ensure all purchases adhere to company budgets and procurement policies.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and payment tracking.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines, statutory requirements, and audit processes.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with operations, finance, and administrative teams to understand material needs.
Prepare purchase reports, cost analyses, and vendor performance summaries.
Support management in decision-making through data and market insights.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
A diploma/certification in procurement or materials management is an added advantage.
Experience
5+ years of experience as a Purchase Manager or in a relevant procurement role.
Experience in the security/safety industry is preferable.
Skills
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
Proficiency in MS Office and inventory software (ERP preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
