to assist in the procurement of materials and services required for our construction and engineering projects. The candidate will support sourcing, order placement, vendor coordination, and timely delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing suppliers for construction-related materials like steel, cement, MEP items, etc.
Collect quotations and compare pricing and quality specifications.
Raise purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
Maintain purchase records and update procurement status regularly.
Coordinate with the store, site, and accounts teams for smooth material flow.
Verify received materials against purchase orders and report any discrepancies.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Assist senior purchase team in negotiations and contract finalizations.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages in advance.
Requirements:
Graduate in Commerce, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a construction or engineering company.
Basic knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and purchase/order software.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to project-based or site-based procurement.
Knowledge of local suppliers and market pricing.
Understanding of GST, delivery terms, and basic commercial documentation.
