Job Summary

The Purchase Manager - Jewellery is responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing the procurement of gold, silver, Jewellery for B2C retail operations. The role ensures optimal product mix, quality compliance, inventory control, cost efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Plan seasonal, festive, and wedding-based Jewellery purchases

Finalize design mix, weight ranges, quantities, and price points

Analyze sales trends, customer demand, and regional preferences

Source vendors, manufacturers, karigars, and wholesalers

Negotiate gold rates, making charges, wastage, diamond pricing, and credit terms

Ensure purity, quality standards, hallmarking, and certifications

Monitor gold weight, stock ageing, and slow-moving inventory

Plan replenishment, stock transfers, and liquidation strategies

Finalize costing, MRP, and margin structures

Coordinate with store operations, warehouse, QA, and finance teams

Prepare MIS reports on purchase vs sales, margins, and stock ageing

Support new store openings, promotions, and festive launches

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate / Postgraduate in any stream or in related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in gold and silver Jewellery purchase with B2C retail

Strong exposure to gold and silver Jewellery

Experience with multi-store Jewellery retail operations preferred

Key Skills & Competencies

Jewellery costing and pricing expertise

Vendor sourcing and negotiation skills

Knowledge of gold rate fluctuations and wastage control

Inventory planning and stock optimization

Understanding of Jewellery compliance and certification

ERP / Jewellery retail software proficiency

Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?500,000.00 - ?800,000.00 per year
