Plan and execute procurement of construction, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials.
Manage vendors/suppliers and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts to achieve cost optimization.
Develop long-term relationships with reliable suppliers.
Material Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and store teams to understand material requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites to avoid work stoppage.
Monitor consumption and minimize wastage.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Ensure procurement is within approved project budgets.
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation.
Maintain records of purchases, vendor agreements, invoices, and delivery challans.
Ensure compliance with GST, statutory norms, and company policies.
Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and timely payment.
Inventory & Store Coordination
Coordinate with storekeepers for stock management and inventory control.
Ensure proper material reconciliation and reporting.
Provide regular MIS to management regarding procurement status.
Experience & Qualification
5-10 years of experience within the construction/building industry.
Experience handling multi-site projects preferred.
Graduate
Skills & Competencies
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suit.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Analytical and cost-control mindset.
