Role Objective We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially smart Purchase & Inventory Professional who can manage end-to-end procurement, new category sourcing, inventory planning, listings, and order processing for an ethnic and handicraft brand.
The goal of this role is to ensure right product, right quantity, right cost, zero stock mismatch, and smooth order fulfillment across all online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase & New Category Development Source new products/categories in:
? Women's ethnic wear
? Handicrafts
? Lifestyle & decor (as per brand direction)
? Identify and onboard new vendors, karigars, and manufacturers
? Conduct market research for trending designs, fabrics, and categories
? Maintain vendor database with pricing, MOQs, lead times, and quality benchmarks
? Negotiate best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
Vendor Management & Negotiation Strong negotiation with vendors for:
? Cost optimization
? Quality consistency
? Timely deliveries
? Coordinate sampling, approvals, and bulk production
? Resolve quality, shortage, or delay issues professionally
