To handle day-to-day purchasing operations by establishing cost-effective sourcing based on the organization's inventory needs and production schedules.
Responsibilities:
1. Plans, organizes, and manages the Procurement process for the materials, equipment, or any other related supplies for the use of all entities under the company and ensures that the processes are in adherence to the Company's policy.
2. Identify suitable suppliers for cost and capacity considerations, prepare sourcing plans, conduct an analysis of supplier quotes, and prepare recommendations of the most suitable supplier.
3. Prepare and process requisitions, floating inquiries, bid management, negotiations, internal approvals, and purchase orders for raw materials, packing materials, fuel items, and equipment.
4. Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, deficiencies, and claims against suppliers as well as purchase rejection/return management.
5. Coordinate the physical movement of stock and the determination and preparation of all legally required documentation.
6. Conduct risk management analysis of selected suppliers taking into account material costing trends and capacity constraints.
7. Develop and maintain a commercially sound Supplier List, survey the market for new supply sources including non-traditional ones, and maintain the "Approved Supplier List".
8. Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and contractors, manage relationships, and build effective partnerships.
9. Analyse market and delivery trends to implement change and develop procurement strategies, technologies, and processes that support those trends.
10. Ensure that the monthly procurement reports and analysis are prepared and reported on time to the Management.
11. Purchase order for service items, Service Receipt Note preparation as well as Purchase Invoice verification and submission to the Finance department.
12. Undertake tasks, activities, and assignments at the direction of the Head of Purchase / Senior Manager-Materials.
Competencies:
1. Education: MBA
2. Experience: 5 years and above with knowledge of purchasing in the Ayurvedic industry
