Collaborate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring that production is not disrupted due to material shortages.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with production, quality assurance, and finance teams to understand their needs and provide timely support in material procurement.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.

Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, market trends, and budget variances for senior management. Utilize data analysis to inform decision-making.

Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Masters degree or relevant certification or Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer is also preferred as they can lead the purchase activities techno-commercially
- Minimum 16 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the steel manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, market analysis, and supplier management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
