:Position Overview: As a Purchase Head, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the procurement function for our organization, particularly focusing on sourcing materials related to Sponge Iron, Power Plant, and Steel Melting Shop (SMS). You will lead a dynamic team and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for the smooth functioning of our operations.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for materials related to Sponge Iron, Power Plant, and SMS.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.

Vendor Management:

• Oversee relationships with existing and potential suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct regular vendor evaluations and performance reviews.

Cost Optimization:

• Analyze market trends and pricing to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.

Material Planning:

• Collaborate with production and project teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely availability.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support operational efficiency.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high-quality standards in acquired materials.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

• Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts, including terms and conditions.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the procurement process.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies.
