Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Head who will be responsible for managing a team of procurement professionals, handling the sourcing of electrical items both domestically (India) and internationally, particularly from China. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in procurement, negotiations, and supplier relationship management, as well as fluency in Chinese (Mandarin). Additionally, the candidate should have a thorough understanding of export documentation and international trade procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

? Lead and manage the procurement team, ensuring alignment with company goals.

? Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance productivity and efficiency.

? Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives.

Supplier Relationship Management:

? Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, both domestic and international.

? Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality products.

? Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and resolve any issues to maintain a healthy partnership.

Sourcing and Procurement:

? Source electrical items from both domestic and international markets, with a focus on the Chinese market.

? Conduct market research and identify new suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and reliability.

? Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying needs to the final delivery.

Negotiation & Cost Management:

? Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

? Monitor market trends and commodity prices to make informed procurement decisions.

? Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining product quality and meeting business requirements.

Export Documentation & Compliance:

? Oversee the preparation and verification of all export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.

? Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and customs procedures.

? Collaborate with the logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Risk Management & Quality Control:

? Identify and manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and supplier performance.

? Monitor product quality and ensure all electrical items comply with regulatory standards and company specifications.

Reporting & Analysis:

? Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends to senior management.

? Analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

? Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

? Extensive experience in sourcing and purchasing electrical items in both domestic (India) and international (Chinese) markets.

? Strong background in negotiating with suppliers, handling supplier relationships, and managing procurement teams.
