Source and procure materials, components, and services as per project or production requirements.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and reliability.
Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing & terms.
Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Maintain updated records of suppliers, price lists, and contracts.
Coordinate with internal departments (Engineering, Production, Stores, Accounts, Dispatch, etc.) for purchase planning.
Track material deliveries, follow up on pending orders, and resolve delays.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock availability and consumption.
Handle vendor management--performance review, payment follow-up, and relationship maintenance.
Prepare procurement reports (PO status, cost savings, vendor performance, etc.).
Support audits and documentation for procurement activities.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good knowledge of procurement processes and market trends
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and documentation
Analytical thinking and cost-awareness
Vendor relationship management
Time management and multitasking ability
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Supply Chain / Engineering (as required)
2-3 years' experience in procurement or purchase function
Experience in Construction/Manufacturing/PEB (optional--add if needed)
