We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Purchase Executive
with a background in
civil construction
to manage procurement activities for construction materials, vendor management, cost control, and timely delivery to project sites. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of construction materials, sourcing, and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and source reliable suppliers/vendors for civil construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, plumbing, electrical, tiles, etc.).
Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
Create purchase orders and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per project requirements.
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores to understand material requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and price lists.
Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely purchases to avoid delays in project execution.
Ensure quality standards are met as per technical specifications.
Track and manage procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
Resolve vendor complaints and supply-related issues.
Prepare periodic reports on purchase activities, pricing trends, and vendor performance.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Good knowledge of civil construction materials and market rates
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Familiarity with ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Tally, etc.)
Vendor management and sourcing expertise
Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic understanding of GST, invoicing, and tax implications related to purchases
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a construction or real estate company
Hands-on experience in site coordination and material planning
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
