Job Title: Purchase Executive - Zinc & Raw Material Procurement

Reports to: Head of Supply Chain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement of zinc, chemicals, and other raw materials for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of chemical industry procurement, and the ability to communicate effectively in English with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors for zinc, chemicals, and related raw materials*.

Negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely availability.
Prepare and process purchase orders, agreements, and contracts.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production & stores for timely procurement.
Conduct market research to track price trends, new products, and supplier performance.
Maintain vendor database and build strong supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with accounts for vendor payments and with logistics for material delivery.
Generate regular purchase reports for management review.
Communicate fluently in English(both written & spoken) with international and domestic suppliers.

Candidate Requirements:

Education:Graduate in Commerce/Science/Engineering; preference for candidates with specialization in Supply Chain / Materials Management.
Experience: 3-6 years of experience in chemical or metal industry procurement(zinc/raw materials preferred).
Skills:*

Strong negotiation & vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of purchase cycle and supply chain processes.
Ability to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring quality.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Fluent English communication(mandatory).
Other Qualities:Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and good at multitasking.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
