Qualification Required: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering /Any degree/Engineering degree preferable

Additional Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities



Handle procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for valve manufacturing.?

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.?

Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve optimal commercial and delivery outcomes for the organization.?

Develop and implement procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory needs.?

Issue purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of materials.?

Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records for audit and management review.?

Track and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow and avoid shortages or overstocking.?

Analyze market trends, benchmark costs, and identify savings opportunities without sacrificing quality.?

Coordinate with internal teams--production, stores, quality control, and finance--for seamless operations and issue resolution.?

Ensure vendor compliance with quality requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies.?

Prepare and present regular reports on procurement status, cost-saving measures, and supplier performance.?

Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in procurement software, Excel, and basic ERP/MIS systems.?

Sound knowledge of mechanical component specifications relevant to the valve industry.?

Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for supplier and cross-team collaboration.?

Analytical approach towards supplier assessment and cost comparison.?

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.?

Experience

Preferred: 1-3 years in procurement roles in the valve, mechanical, or manufacturing industry.?
