The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, supplies, and services essential for the company's operations. The role includes building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing procurement costs without compromising quality. The candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to understand requirements and ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement of Materials:
Source and procure required materials, products, and services for various departments.
Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement within defined budgets.
2. Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate pricing, quality standards, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
Manage supplier contracts and maintain long-term partnerships.
3. Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and place timely orders to maintain optimal inventory.
Prevent shortages and overstocking through effective inventory planning.
4. Cost Control:
Implement cost-saving initiatives without affecting quality.
Analyze purchasing patterns regularly to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
5. Purchase Orders & Documentation:
Prepare and process accurate purchase orders as per specifications, quantity, and pricing.
Maintain clear and updated records of transactions, purchase orders, agreements, and invoices.
6. Coordination with Internal Departments:
Work closely with production, finance, and operations to understand material needs.
Ensure uninterrupted operations by coordinating timely material availability.
7. Supplier Evaluation & Audits:
Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance based on delivery, quality, and service.
Perform periodic supplier audits to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
8. Market Research:
Stay informed about market trends, new materials, and price fluctuations.
Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research for informed decision-making.
