Job Description

A Purchase Executive in a manufacturing plant is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring goods and services that support production and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.?

Key Responsibilities

Identify and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.?

Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors.?

Process purchase orders and monitor their progress to ensure on-time receipt of goods.?

Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotations, and purchase agreements.?

Track inventory levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse to avoid shortages or overstocking.?

Collaborate with internal departments to assess and fulfill procurement needs.?

Evaluate supplier performance periodically and enhance vendor relationships.?

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and statutory regulations for procurement.?

Assist in audits, prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities, and support continuous improvement of procurement processes.?

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.?

2-5 years of relevant purchase experience, preferably in manufacturing or mechanical sectors.?

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.?

Knowledge of inventory management, market analysis, and ERP/procurement software.?

Organizational ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.?
