Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure raw materials (grains, meat derivatives, additives), packaging materials, and consumables required for pet food production.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost optimization.
Raise purchase orders (POs) and ensure adherence to approved procurement processes.
Coordinate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Ensure materials comply with quality standards, safety norms, and regulatory requirements applicable to pet food manufacturing.
Track supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor documentation, and MIS reports.
Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and availability of raw materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in FMCG, food processing, or pet food manufacturing.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of inventory control, procurement procedures, and documentation.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
Ability to work cross-functionally with production and quality teams.
