Key Responsibilities
Source and procure raw materials, mechanical components, electrical parts, and services related to turbine manufacturing
Identify and develop reliable vendors/suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships
Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms
Prepare purchase orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery
Coordinate with production, quality, engineering, and stores departments
Ensure materials meet technical specifications and quality standards
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
Maintain accurate purchase records, documentation, and MIS reports
Resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, quality rejections, or shortages
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of turbine components, mechanical and electrical materials
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Familiarity with ERP systems (Tally, Focus)
Understanding of procurement processes, GST, and basic import/export procedures (if applicable)
Good communication and coordination skills
