Identify and source raw materials, hardware, packaging, and other required items for production.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Maintain and update vendor database and build strong relationships with local suppliers.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely approvals and deliveries.
Track material inventory levels and coordinate with the production and store departments.
Verify supplier bills and coordinate with the accounts team for timely payments.
Ensure quality checks and proper documentation of all incoming materials.
Maintain purchase records and generate periodic reports on material consumption and procurement costs.
Assist management in cost control and procurement planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate
in any discipline (B.Com / BBA preferred).
1-5 years of experience
in purchase/procurement, preferably in furniture, handicraft, or manufacturing industries.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of local markets and suppliers in Saharanpur region.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, Tally,
or Zoho Inventory.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
