The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, from supplier identification to contract management, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting business operations. They play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain efficiency and contributing to organizational profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value for goods and services
Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics
Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and specifications
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing contracts and agreements
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock management
Analyze spending patterns and implement cost reduction initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and vendor relations
Background in relevant industry sectors (manufacturing, retail, healthcare, etc.)
