Purchase Executive – Order Follow Up & Supplier Coordination

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Track and monitor all open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery as per the committed schedule. Follow up proactively with suppliers via email, phone, and other communication channels to chase pending orders + unattended mails or requirements and expedite delayed deliveries. Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Stores, Planning, Production) to provide regular updates on the status of purchase orders. Maintain detailed and accurate records of communications with suppliers regarding order status, reasons for delays, and revised delivery dates. Escalate critical delays or repeated non-compliance to the reporting manager for necessary action. Assist in resolving supply chain bottlenecks by identifying root causes of supplier delays. Work closely with suppliers to ensure acknowledgments, delivery challans, and invoices are aligned with the purchase order terms. Update regularly with latest order tracking and status reports.
