Description Job Title : Purchase Executive Job Location : Mumbai (Bhiwandi) Job Type : Full Time Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchase Executive to procure Packaging Materials (Primary/Secondary/Tertiary) & Consumables to satisfy factory demand, while meeting the businesses overall desired inventory levels, Cash landing etc. Job Responsibilities Organize and schedule packaging procurement in a timely and systematic manner Procure to the correct levels to ensure no risk of stock out or obsolescent stock Procure in line with business processes (Forecast/MPS view) and be involved in system improvements and upgrades Liaise with the Factory Production Planner and Factory Operations team on a daily basis Liaise with the Warehouse team on a daily basis Handle the commercial activities to manage supplier contracts procurement plans and KPI s Report Packaging non-conformities to the Commercial team and follow up on actions with suppliers Liase with Regulatory & Activity Managers to plan Run-outs & ordering of new packs linked to Regulatory changes, Innovation & Renovations Develop and Report on packaging portfolio KPI s and provide inventory analysis on Packaging portfolio Communicate with Customer Service team Individual Market risks or opportunities on Packaging SKU s, Input into the R-MOS Active participant in the business s overall S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)Process Be involved in cost saving initiatives, this includes loss analyses and environmental impact. Conduct all interactions with internal and external stakeholders using the 5Principles as foundation. Forecast & accountability for Period end/Year End cash landing for pack portfolio Highlight variations in mix that could drive OOS & High Stock cover. Measure & enforce golden rules at SKU level to protect against OOS/Obsolescence Track & compare Packaging order vs delivery QTY s to ensure supplier performance is measured & possible risk is highlighted. Independent creation and tracking of the purchase order including preparation of tax data (supplier statistics, contract tracking) Incoming invoice control for packaging materials, timely complaints, and independent correction in the event of detected deviations. Handle all indirect purchase demands of the factory including but not limited to PPEs, consumables, firefighting equipment, Lab items, spares etc. Collaborate with Global Packs team for vendor development. Collaborate with Market Commercial Manager on common commercial agendas. Transition of General Be an active member in all HSE and Quality initiatives. Context & Scope SAFETY All PPE must be worn in compliance with the Legal/RC requirements. Enforce/Respect the safety rules and the internal policy. Stop any equipment / operative works / external company works if safety/environment protection/fire protection rules are broken. Guarantee and apply OHSAS 18001 and all related working procedures. ENVIRONMENT Ownership of environmental responsibilities and any data required by the business in support of its environmental responsibilities. Be a part of Mars SIG (Sustainable in a Generation) initiative. QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY Understand and apply Mars Standards, and all related working procedures. Support the HACCP program in the department. Follow GMP-GHP in the Factory and Warehouses HUMAN RESOURCES Training: attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designed person that may require assistance within the job function. Management & Responsibilities Supply packaging material sales forecasts and specifications to suppliers Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness and quality. Take initiative for building the new processes and systems for improvement and implement the new ideas. Understanding and building a culture based on the 5 Principles of Mars Assure that documentation requires for Supplier payments are completely fulfilled according to rules and contracts Track and record orders Manage documentation and filing Manage the packaging material procurement to meet new product launches or new market openings Any task as delegated by Manager CLEANLINESS & TIDINESS Perform Housekeeping Checks to ensure compliance to 5S COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules Uphold company policies on intellectual property or any confidential information Job Requirements Education & Professional Qualification- Bachelor s degree. Experience in procurement, safety stock levels, ROP, freight, supply chain, international transport, administration, laws) 2 Knowledge/Experience 3+ years in Purchase & Logistics Experience in dealing with ERP systems (Navision, SAP etc) Salary & Perks Salary no bar for the right candidate.
