Key Responsibilities:
Source and evaluate vendors/suppliers and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.
Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse and production teams for material requirements.
Track and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any supply issues or delays.
Ensure compliance with legal and company procurement policies and guidelines.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, production) to forecast needs.
Conduct market research to stay updated with industry trends and pricing.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a purchasing/procurement role (industry-specific experience preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or ERP systems).
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in [Manufacturing/Retail/FMCG/Construction/etc.] industry.
Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
