The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services in alignment with company requirements. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timely delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through market research and vendor analysis
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize procurement costs
Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and finance teams
Track deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues or delays
Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure supplier performance meets expectations
Prepare procurement reports and assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives
Stay updated on market trends, product innovations, and pricing fluctuations
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practices
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
1-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation preferred
