Key Responsibilities
Scrutiny of purchase indents, floating enquiries, preparation of comparative statements, and issuance of Purchase Orders.
Manage end-to-end procurement activities including requisition, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, PO issuance, and timely delivery.
Develop and implement initiatives to leverage emerging technologies for efficient procurement operations.
Lead, coach, and support the purchasing team while identifying cost reduction opportunities.
Perform strategic supply base management including supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier performance management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material procurement processes.
Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and sourcing opportunities to optimize procurement strategies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement activities accordingly.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical procurement standards.
Identify and implement cost-saving and cost-effective purchasing practices.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular evaluations and performance reviews.
Conduct supplier audits and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Negotiate favourable commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
Allocate resources effectively to meet procurement objectives and deadlines.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
Oversee vendor assessment, evaluation, and selection processes.
