Key Responsibilities
:
Procurement & Sourcing
:
Identify and source reliable suppliers for equipment, spare parts, and consumables related to refinery and oil operations.
Float RFQs/RFPs and analyze quotations to ensure competitiveness and quality.
Vendor Management
:
Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and contractors.
Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and safety standards.
Purchase Order Management
:
Issue purchase orders (POs) in alignment with company policies and project requirements.
Monitor delivery timelines and expedite orders as required.
Inventory Coordination
:
Work closely with stores and inventory teams to align procurement with inventory levels.
Minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Cost Control & Budgeting
:
Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting procurement costs for projects and operations.
Compliance & Documentation
:
Ensure all purchases comply with internal policies, quality standards, and legal requirements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
:
Liaise with the engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to understand technical specifications.
Support project procurement as per timelines and material take-off (MTO) schedules.
Required Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related fields
.
(PG in Materials Management or MBA in Supply Chain is a plus.)
Minimum
6 years of relevant experience
in procurement within the
oil, gas, or refinery
industry.
Strong knowledge of
procurement lifecycle

import/export regulations

INCOTERMS

HS codes
.
Proficiency in
ERP systems
like SAP/MM, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Solid negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
