Job Title:

Purchase Executive / Engineer

Location:

Turbhe, Navi Mumbai

Job Purpose:

The Purchase and Import Executive is responsible for managing procurement, handling import logistics, and overseeing inventory to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

Source and negotiate with suppliers for the timely delivery of materials, and process purchase orders efficiently.

Logistics Coordination:

Oversee transportation, track shipments, and resolve any delivery issues. Handle import logistics, including customs clearance, documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production and minimize excess inventory.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams (production, warehouse) to ensure smooth operations and timely supply of materials.

Reporting:

Provide regular updates on procurement, logistics, and import activities to management, including supplier performance and inventory status.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce

Education

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical , Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

1-5 years of experience in raw procurement, ideally in a manufacturing environment, with experience in import logistics handling.

Skills:

Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in

SAP software

for procurement and logistics management. Advanced knowledge of

Microsoft Excel

(e.g. Vlookup, Pivot table etc). Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs procedures.
