Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identify potential suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
Evaluate and select vendors through competitive bidding and negotiation processes.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage vendor performance.
2. Purchase Order Processing:
Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm purchase requirements and specifications.
3. Price Negotiation and Cost Management:
Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
Monitor market trends and conduct price analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Review and approve invoices and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
4. Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and delivery of goods.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
5. Quality Assurance:
Ensure that purchased products and materials meet quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with quality control teams to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and agreements.
Prepare and analyze procurement reports to track spending and performance metrics.
Assist in the development of procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines.
7. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions and supplier failures.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement.
Requirements and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
